Job Description

A first tier Investment Bank based in Canary Wharf, London, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their high-profile Financial Planning and Analysis team. Working as part of a wider team, the role will be at the junior VP level with the aim to develop within the function.
The team’s main responsibility is to provide firm-wide financial for Senior Management and provide insightful value add analysis and commentaries to support decision-making.

Roles/Responsibilities

- Driving the month end closing of financial information and leading the production of the management accounts;
- Overseeing co-ordination weekly papers for the Finance Committee: proposing and agreeing agenda, organising contributor submissions, production of papers and presenting draft to Senior Management;
- Overseeing production of financials updates for the Executive Committee and Management Committees;
- Overseeing production of Investor Relations deliverables (messaging and analytics) for both half year and full year results in addition to any quarterly/ad hoc trading updates;
- Overseeing co-ordination, production and presentation of analysis on quarterly competitor results;
- Overseeing modelling of the firm wide shape for the current year forecast and 3 year plan: managing collection of forecast data from Front Office and Finance, Risk and HR functions, conducting scenario analysis, putting together presentations for the Executive Committee and the submission of financials to Group.

Personal Attributes

- The ability to face off to peers and senior management both locally and globally, across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting as well as playing a key leadership role within the team
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, particularly in relation to conveying issues in a straightforward and concise manner.
- Strong problem solving, time management and prioritisation skills
- Delivery orientated with excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy of information
