Corporate Tax Manager, Banking and Capital Makets, London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading team, in an organisation that has identified this area as an area of growth for the organisation. This is for a Big 4 firm and they currently enjoy an excellent relationship with major clients and are recognised as the leading provider of tax services to the financial services industry. The sector includes some of the largest corporate organisations in the world. As such, the opportunities available are a mixture of the usual complex problems facing all large multinational/large domestic corporations plus the intellectual and technical challenges of working on the specialist roles applicable to the Financial Services Groups, especially in these changing and challenging times.
The Banking and Capital Markets Team, advise a wide range of financial services companies falling within the broad heading of banks. The aim is to combine specialist tax skills with a deep understanding of our market sector. The team includes many industry acknowledged experts in their field in both the UK and on a global basis. The sector includes all forms of banking; retail, commercial, investment, private and custody banking, as well as dealers, brokers and exchanges. The Tax team forms one of the hubs of a global network of BCM expertise enabling them to advise not only some of the biggest UK based banks but also many of the worlds largest players operating in the UK, in particular through London branches. You will be responsible for: Providing bespoke corporate tax advice to a variety of large and independent clients in this sector Developing your relationships with key clients across this sector as well as internally with colleagues from other areas of the business
You should have prior exposure to similar clients and be aware of the implications involved in dealing with such clients. Ideally you would have ACA or CTA, however equivalent qualifications will also be considered, including legal qualifications. You will have experience in managing staff and have examples of hitting deadlines and developing juniors.
You should be professional and ambitious. You will be working for the number one team in this area, and as such you should be able to demonstrate that you are of very high calibre in your field.
