Senior Capital Accountant - London

A large Housing Association based in London is recruiting to a Senior Capital Accountant role on a temporary to permanent basis. This role will report to the Group Finance Manager and is expected to initially be a fixed term contract, and upon successful completion there will be the opportunity of permanent employment.

• Accounting for and processing capital transactions relating to Development operations
• Responsible for the production of timely, accurate and relevant monthly/quarterly financial management information
• Production of annual statutory accounts relating to Capital activities
• Annual capital budgeting and quarterly capital reforecast
• Responsibility for regulatory returns
• Provision of advice relating to SDLT and VAT

• Prior experience of work within a Capital Accounting team in the Housing/Property sector
• High level of technical financial accounting knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Extensive experience of accounting IT applications - ideally SUN and VISION
• A track record of successfully managing complex accounting issues and projects

• CCAB Qualified (or equivalent)

• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills - a high level of written and verbal communication and influencing skills
• Comfortable interacting at a senior level within the organisation
