Senior Manager – Solvency II Specialist - DUBLIN
A regulatory body is seeing to
recruit a number of Solvency
II Specialists for their Insurance department based in Dublin.
This particular supervisory department is responsible for the prudential
supervision of the Life Insurance, Non Life Insurance, and Reinsurance
undertakings authorised by the Financial Regulator. They undertake the prudential supervision of
insurance and reinsurance companies and monitor prudential issues relating to
the functioning of the insurance market.
As
part of your role, you will get involved in the implementation of their
Solvency II project. This will involve assisting
in the development of policy for transposition and implementation of new
legislation and providing support for full provision of guidance to industry
and other stakeholders in line with policy.
You will evaluate industry and other stakeholder submissions and
represent the Department at meetings with stakeholders.
In order to qualify for this
position, you must have the following:
- An understanding of
Solvency II proposals - Knowledge of the
developing regulatory, supervisory and reporting requirements for the
insurance industry in Europe. - Understanding of
the re/insurance business and the practical operation of re/insurance
companies. - Knowledge of the
wider re/insurance and regulatory framework, including international
regimes and standards. - Effective
communication skills
